Web Design
U.S. District Court of Maine
Problem:
The U.S. District Court of Maine
came to Scribble Creative Group
looking for an overall re-design
of their outdated web site,
which apart from needing a facelift,
had many other problems. A professional
'look and feel' was an obvious
need, but user-friendliness
was the major concern. Attorneys
using the site to download important
documents found the web site
difficult to navigate and find
pages they had accessed before.
From an administrator standpoint,
the web site became too large
and complex for the navigation
to effectively support.
Solution:
The solution we provided addressed
3 major areas of concern: look
and feel, navigation and content
formatting. The home page of
the web site now welcomes users
with a scrolling showcase of
historical images from the Maine
court system. A front-and-center
navigation system provides users
with an easy-to-use directory
that allows them to access exactly
what they're looking for with
one click. The navigation system
throughout the site is designed
to allow users access to any
page from any page.
Results:
Administrators of the Maine
court site continue to say how
proud they are of their web
site and how easy it is to maintain.
Information is much easier to
find and read with the clean,
formatted content.
