Web Design Client Saracen Properties

Problem: Saracen Properties is a Newton, Massachusetts company dealing in the development and construction of commercial real estate.  Although the company was established in 1982, this was their first website. Saracen Properties would have had a web site designed earlier but local Massachusetts web design firms led them to believe that their project was much more costly and involved than it should have been. The project ended up being delayed due to this misinformation.

Then they found Scribble Creative Group. Saracen Properties' primary need for a web site was to showcase properties they owned for lease. They also required the ability to manage this area of the web site in-house, and it was to be done by someone who had no web site editing experience. We explained to them that with the implementation of our Content Management System (CMS), this wasn't an issue.

Solution: The solutions proposed by our web designers included a content-managed Properties directory that would give the internal administrator at Saracen Properties the ability to add, edit and delete property pages as required. Each property page allows the administrator to add images, description, location (with a live link to a MAPQUEST map), amenities and available space. In addition, we suggested that the News pages of the site be content managed so they could keep the web site's content dynamic and up to date.

Results: The completed web site includes a fully content-managed Properties directory and News section. The customized Content Management System also allows the administrator to manage the News & Announcements area found on the right side of each page. These highlights are links to the News page and allow the visitor to see, at a glance, the latest news.
